“Celebrating Leadership:  Church as a Verb”

Sunshine District Conference is a great way to see what’s going on in the churches in our district, to make connections, and to learn more about the structure and resources of the United Methodist Church.

This year’s Sunshine District Conference will celebrate leadership as we learn how our local churches are becoming "verbs" rather than "nouns."  We will also celebrate the leadership of Brenda Lear as our District Superintendent for the past 7 years.  She will retire on June 30.  We might even get to meet our newly appointed District Superintendent!  This year’s celebration will include hearing Brenda preach, original music from Emily and Steve Earnshaw, seeing video presentations from local churches and cooperative parishes about their ministry in their communities and in the world, and being honored with music from some of the many talented individuals and groups from our district churches.

Registration for the one day conference is $10 and registrations must be in by February 25^th.  Please contact Bev Allen (429-6350) or the church office (783-2511) for more information.
