Our dulcimer group meets each Thursday afternoon at the church office from 1:30 – 3:30. Some members play the mountain dulcimer while others play the hammered dulcimer. Affiliated with the Serendipity Dulcimer Club of Canon City and Colorado Springs, the club organizer, Malacha Hall, comes to Westcliffe about once a month to keep us informed and up on the music the other two groups are playing. Anyone in the community can come and play with us. Even guitar and fiddle players are welcome. Our members’ skills range from stark beginners to pretty advanced players. It doesn’t matter what your skill level is, even if you’ve never played, we have a great time playing together. A couple of times a year we play for the church and we also play a couple of times a year to entertain at Valley Assisted Living. Even if you have never plays a dulcimer but are interested please come and we’ll get you started!
